House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) confirmed the House will vote Wednesday to transmit the articles of impeachment against President Trump to the Senate. After that, the impeachment trial will begin next Tuesday, Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell said. Pelosi is also expected the name the impeachment managers in Senate's trial on Wednesday. The House last month passed the articles of impeachment charging Trump with abuse of power and obstruction of Congress, but Pelosi said she was waiting to ensure a "fair" trial would take place in the Senate before moving forward. When the resolution is brought to the House floor on Wednesday, Democrats and Republicans will each have five minutes of debate.
