Four bodies found amid two tons of trash on Mount Everest
While sorting through more than 12 tons of trash, a Mount Everest cleaning crew also discovered four human corpses, reports HuffPost.
The bodies were found during a 45-day period of cleaning, and they were taken to a Kathmandu hospital for identification.
The discovery comes amid a deadly climbing season that has claimed 11 lives so far. The season has also been one of Everest's busiest, with a record number of permits to climb the summit issued. More than 300 climbers have died on Mount Everest since 1953, writes The Associated Press.
